Terms for Carrier Billing

ShemarooMe service can be purchased using Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) through major telecommunications providers in Oman including Ooredoo Oman and Omantel. By using this payment method, users acknowledge and accept the following terms. These terms must be read and accepted in conjunction with our supporting terms and policies available at Terms And Conditions, as well as carrier terms and conditions for carrier billing and the regulations set by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of Oman.

Subscription Model

  • Billing Method: Charges will be deducted from your prepaid card balance or added to your monthly billing account with your carrier (Ooredoo or Omantel). You will not be charged more than the advertised amount. Your carrier may recover outstanding charges or adjust billing frequency as per their standard procedures.
  • Service Access: Enter your mobile number to access the service. To cancel your subscription, Ooredoo subscribers send “STOP SMED” to 92828, Omantel subscribers send “UNSUB W” to 92893, or contact our support team.
  • Account Security: A password/account designation will be assigned upon registration. Users must keep these credentials confidential and secure.
  • Unauthorized Use: Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. The Company is not liable for any damage resulting from failure to comply with security requirements.

Fees

  • Pricing Structure: Subscription fees vary by carrier:
    • Ooredoo Oman: OMR 0.250 per day (includes 5% VAT)
    • Omantel: OMR 1 per week
    Charges are deducted from prepaid balance or added to your monthly bill. No additional charges beyond the advertised rates.
  • Automatic Billing: Charges apply automatically after subscription confirmation according to the billing frequency for your carrier, regardless of service usage. Free trial users will be charged according to the standard rates after the trial period ends. Service auto-renews until cancelled.

Refund Policy

  • Right of Withdrawal: As per Oman telecommunications regulations and consumer protection laws, subscribers have the right to cancel their subscription and request refunds in accordance with TRA guidelines and carrier billing policies.
  • How to Request Refund: Notify our customer care team with a clear, unambiguous statement requesting withdrawal. Refund requests are processed according to both our terms and your carrier's billing policies (Ooredoo or Omantel).
  • Contact for Refunds: Email us at support@vod-streaming.pro or contact TRA consumer support if unsatisfied with carrier response.
  • Required Information: Include complete contact details, service name, subscription date, mobile number, and carrier name (Ooredoo or Omantel) in your refund request.
  • Processing Time: Acknowledgement will be sent by email within 2 business days. Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days as per TRA regulations and carrier policies.
  • Banking Information: Carrier billing users may need to provide banking information to facilitate refund processing through your carrier's refund mechanism.

Free Trial Periods and Misuse

Misuse includes, but is not limited to:

  • Registering multiple accounts for repeated free trials
  • Deactivating/reactivating to extend trials
  • Using deceptive means to obtain trials
  • Any action against law, morality, or public opinion

Consequences may include blacklisting, suspension, termination, or legal action.

Consumer Rights and TRA Protection

As a consumer in Oman, you are protected by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) regulations:

  • Complaint Process: If unsatisfied with carrier or service provider response, you may escalate complaints directly to TRA after allowing reasonable time for resolution.
  • TRA Contact: Visit www.tra.gov.om or call their consumer hotline
  • Billing Disputes: TRA monitors billing practices and can assist with refund processing when carriers fail to resolve disputes appropriately.
  • Service Standards: All carriers (Ooredoo and Omantel) must comply with TRA service quality standards and consumer protection regulations.
